Life(s)core initiative is an omni, social sustainable platform, designed to strengthen collaboration between stakeholders (farmers, educational institutions, local agencies, etc.) and society towards food security and resource efficiency. This collaboration aims to develop resilient, socially coherent production, contributing in circular economy at a local & national level, while improving social well-being and quality of life for the society.
Corteva AgriscienceTM under social entrepreneurship & innovation, is originating this initiative, that will also assist in increasing its brand awareness and positively set the company’s perception into Greek society.
Food insecurity and food waste are significant challenges with extremely serious social implications. According to IOBE, the problem concerns more than 1 million Greeks, as in 2015 Greece ranked 8th among 30 European countries with food insecurity.
An integral part of this initiative is the Agricultural University of Athens, with which Corteva AgriscienceTM has already agreed to jointly disseminate information on the issue of food insecurity in Greek society, but also to formulate proposals for resolution.
The LifeScore initiative is the way Corteva AgriscienceTM expresses awareness in Greek society on the issue of food security and the fight against food waste.
